Beautiful Feet Ministry

Beautiful Feet Ministries

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” — Romans 10:15b

You've felt it haven't you? Some call it a stirring. Others say it's a voice. For me it was like that scene in the movie Dances with Wolves where Kevin Costner is awakened in the middle of the night by the running of the buffalo. He doesn't know what it is, but he knows it's something significant and he's got to find out more.

Beautiful Feet Ministry exists to help you do just that.

We began in 2001 as a non-profit ministry designed to inspire, encourage and motivate you to fulfill your ministry and ultimately discover your God-given purpose in life. We do this primarily through speaking at revivals, Sunday services, wild game suppers, men's retreats and wherevere else we can gather an audience. But over the years we've also launched other ministries designed to reach others with the gospel as well as provide vehicles for them to get their feet wet "out of the boat."

Beautiful Feet Ministries 2012 Board Meeting

Our 2012 meeting of the Beautiful Feet Board of Directors is now in the books and our annual report is now available for your perusal. It is always a joy to meet with these guys and be challenged, encouraged, motivated and sharpened. We left the week very excited about the direction of the ministry for this year.

Rebuilding Big Jim’s Lodge was a big focus of 2011 and while we still have much work to do this year we prayed for more community projects (like iCan), more writing and more opportunities to encourage others in their ministries. Hopefully you’ll agree...we’re off to a good start!

iCan! Dance Studio

iCan! Dance Studio

Nine years ago my former co-host, Julie Mayberry, and her husband Andy gave birth to their second of four children, Katie Faith Marie Mayberry. Andy and Julie knew full well before Katie was born that she had Spina Bifida but they were determined to give her the same life experiences as their other daughters. So when Katie was three and wanted to dance they went looking for a studio. But no one was equipped to teach a child in a wheel chair how to dance...so Julie started her own and called it iCan Dance.

KARK and Beautiful Feet MinistriesToday Julie and a host of “able-bodied” kids help teach dance to all sorts of special needs kids from all across Arkansas. Until now all their classes were held, when space was available, in a middle school gym. But during the months of February and March Beautiful Feet in partnership with KARK will build Julie and iCan Dance a studio of their very own!

And we need your help! In this mock up from architect Scott Smith you can see the two phases of the studio. The first is just over 1,600 sq. feet the second will add a dance and performance floor and add another 1,200 sq. feet to the project. Already we’ve seen donations of money and material pour in and feel confident we can make the dreams of special needs dancers all across Arkansas come true!

But more than just dance this will be an arts and resource center for all sorts of special needs children and their families! For more information about iCan Dance and to donate on line you can visit www.communityconnectionsar.org.

Wednesday, Jan. 25th KARK helped us break ground on the facility. We were live on KARK 4 Today from 5-7am celebrating the launch of this great ministry project.

On hand we has Jody and Sherry Spann from Spann Construction who are donating much of their time and talent to contract this studio.

Also on hand was Susie Everett of Everett Buick GMC who was more than happy to donate 5,000 to the project. Susie was joined by several of the dancers and the current Miss Teen Arkansas USA, Amber Mitchell.

This Girl Scout Troop donated money to help buy a monogrammed brick for the patio entrance to the iCan Dance Studio. And they weren’t alone. Several groups and individuals donated to the cause and the local Lions Club even raised $2,500 for a decorative bench!

Businesses such as Ridout Lumber company, Robert Shearer plumbing, Erik Menzie framing, All Seasons Roofing, Wilson Home Improvement and contractors Mike & Barbara Wallace announced the donation of their services to the project. Mike and Barbara are also board members of BeautifulFeet Ministry and some of the most kind and generous people on the planet.

Our goal is to have this studio up and operational by mid-March and to do that we need your help. We need materials, manpower and money. If you’re interested in helping stay tuned to KARK 4 Today for updates or just send me an email and I’ll keep you on the list.

If you’d like to donate just click on the donate button on this website or send a check to:

And put iCan Dance on the memo line.

Ministry in Focus: Kingdom Dog Ministries

It’s not too difficult to understand what makes powerful. Put simply it is a man and his dog teaching the power of obedience. What really makes Kingdom Dog unique though is the ability to relate to every man, woman and child in attendance no matter where they are in life.

Kingdom Dog’s History is very interesting, but what is most exciting to us is where God has taken it. Today Hank and the Dogs travel across the nation speaking in churches, schools, various outdoor events, men’s groups, women’s groups, youth and children activities, evangelistic programs, and many other places. It has been both exciting and humbling to witness Hank being used of God to teach such simple yet life changing concepts. To contact Hank and his dogs for your next event visit: www.kingdomdog.com.

Sunday Service Reaches The Lost

"I re-said this prayer. You have been what I needed to hear. I am so thankful to have let God’s voice be heard. I can’t express in words how much I needed it. I am raising two boys and I want them to be God’s!” — Name Withheld

That was just one quote we received following a tremendous Sunday Morning Service at the World’s Championship Duck Calling contest in Stuttgart, AR. In fact, seven people filled out cards indicating they wished to follow Christ and His will for their lives. At least one of those people inviting Jesus into their hearts was a contestant in the duck calling contest from California! And all the praise and glory and honor goes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We have delivered those cards to the churches in the areas where they are from and we pray that God’s people will help to inspire, encourage and motivate them to continue on the journey toward becoming the people God called them to be.

You never know what’s going to happen when you step out in faith in response to God’s calling. It rained, cold and constantly, the entire day Saturday and was just above freezing when we woke up Sunday morning. But we knew this was where God called us to be and once the praise band from Stuttgart’s The Lighthouse Church began singing the crowd of more than 60 hearty souls began to arrive and take their seats. Warmed by coffee, camo jackets and more than a few blankets they sat listening attentively to every word that came out of the mouth of our speaker, KingdomDog’s Hank Hough. As he and his fellow preacher, Bandera, began to demonstrate God’s love to them you could feel the power of the Holy Spirit moving through the crowd. It was an incredible time. Thank you for your prayers and your support of this ministry. It truly was a weekend of thanks. (To see more pictures of the event visit www.facebook.com/crossheirs)

Colorado Elk Hunt

It was nearly 70 degrees when the three of us, me, Clayton Newlin, Tim Molitor, started hiking up the hill toward what we hoped would be a happy hunting ground for massive bull elk. As steps turned into miles and minutes into hours we eventually made it to the top, 12-thousand plus feet, and 35-degrees and discovered not elk but …God. Clayton summarized it best when he said, “It’s hard to imagine how beautiful Heaven will be when you see how incredible this place is.”

And that’s why we go. No, we didn’t shoot an elk, for the third year running, in fact after all our hiking we didn’t SEE any, but we did draw some guys into a deeper relationship with the Creator. And that‘s priceless. We also took time to read and discuss the book, The Map, by David Murrow and I highly recommend you guys read it. I know, I know, you don’t like to read but it is that good and may change the way you live your life.

I also recommend you sign up NOW for next year’s hunt. We’re busy, right now, making sure we don’t get shut out again! It’s a great trip and we’d love to have you. If you’d like to see more pictures just visit our FB page at CrossHeirs Retreat Center.
